2nd meeting Istanbul, Turkey ENG

In March 2019 we were welcomed by the spring Istanbul where we participated in the 2nd transnational meeting within the Good School for the 21st Century (KA2) project to present the results of the work of the students´ project team with Viviana Ikréniová, Kiara Korpádiová, Martin Nagy (PM, 3 B) and Samuel Sajka (TITT, 3 C). The students introduced the possibilities of spending leisure time for young people in our town and its surroundings. In addition, accompanying teachers presented activities under the theme „Learning by play“.

The meeting tok place at Ataköy Cumhuriyet Anadolu Lisesi partner school. We could watch the students‘ presentations „Hello!“ Saturday full of ideas „about opportunities for young people to spend their free time in their city, teachers´ presentations on Curriculum – exchange of experience, students´ workshops about My school day – mind maps, a competition The best Saturday I want to experience. The team spirit was solidified during an international basketball sports tournament through the mixed teams. Every player was the winner and everyone got a commemorative medal.

The project partnership was also visited by the deputy Mayor of Bakırköy Town Hall, who, along with the host school director, handed over the typical Turkish souvenirs to all meeting participants. As for the vocational-cultural part of the meeting, we went on an excursion about the culturalhistorical potential of the Asian part of the city and a boat trip on the Bosphorus. Unforgettable was the visit of the historic peninsula and monuments of the old town with a guide: Topkapı Palace, Hagia Sophia Museum, Sultanahmet Mosque, Sistern Basilica and of course the Grand Bazaar.

At the end of the meeting, the certificates were handed over to all participants as well as the evaluation of the meeting through their individual questionnaires. We can conclude that the joint meeting of the partner schools was held in a more than friendly atmosphere, met the planned objectives and brought benefits to all participants from the point of view of strengthening their social, digital, foreign language, civic and multicultural competences.

We also talked about the preparation and content of the 3rd transnational meeting to be held in May 2019 in Eger, Hungary.
